Veterinary Acupuncture

by Larry Snyder DVM

Traditional Chinese Medicine and specifically Veterinary Acupuncture have been in use for thousands of years in China and more recently around the world. Acupuncture has been successfully used as adjunct therapy with western medicine most successfully for acute and chronic pain control in animals. With no pharmaceutical agents needed for acupuncture, many people feel it is an ideal long term solution for pain control in their animal friends.

Acupuncture is not appropriate for all painful conditions or for every animal - careful evaluation of the animal's temperament and willingness to tolerate acupuncture as well as the condition being contemplated being treated must be made. We will be happy to discuss the application of acupuncture in your pets' wellness program.
